Purpose
The main objectives are to:
- Define the industry and its characteristics
- Identify key offline and online industry trends
- Identify ways of influencing profitability and competition
- Identify opportunities and threats in light of the stakeholders' business objectives
The scope of this artifact is much broader than the scope of the Artifact: Competitive Analysis.
Audience
The Role: Business Strategist and Role: Business Process Analysts use the Industry Analysis to find business opportunities. Other roles use this information to better understand the competitive environment.
