Purpose

The Role: Business Designer develops the organizational structure and specific roles and responsibilities within that structure. The organizational design supports the business strategy and the business processes, especially as they are described in the Artifact: Business Use Case Realization.

The results of this activity are included in the Artifact: Business Operations Plan.

Frequency

The timing and number of iterations required to establish an acceptable organizational design varies greatly from project to project, depending on the extent of change and the organization's ability to assimilate it. This work begins during Inception.
