Purpose

To identify the internal business roles (also known as business workers), concepts, items, transactions, products, and other significant entities in the project. These elements and their relationships are captured in the Artifact: Business Object Model.

This activity also includes describing how the business workers interact with each other, as well as key entities to implement the processes defined in the Artifact: Business Use Case Realizations.

Frequency

Identifying business workers and entities occurs as a natural result of daily project work during the Inception phase.

Each Artifact: Business Use Case may have several Artifact: Business Use Case Realizations. Thus the frequency of this activity depends on the number of Business Use Cases the team has decided to describe in detail.
