Purpose
The Role: Business Strategist collaborates with other team members and stakeholders to identify major business opportunities and the criteria for evaluating them. This allows the Business Strategist to recommend and prioritize opportunities to be pursued.
Frequency
This activity is usually performed once per project during the Inception phase. If significant changes occur in the competitive environment, more analysis may be necessary.
Responsibilities
The Business Strategists and Business Process Analysts use the Industry Analysis to find business opportunities. Other roles use this information to better understand the competitive environment.
