Purpose

To document the results of evaluating predecessors of the intended solution, in particular, those of competitors. This information allows you to avoid the mistakes of competitors, as well as to understand where something has been solved well.

Audience

The following roles use the Usability Benchmarks:

• The Role: Business Strategist uses the Usability Benchmarks to help identify business opportunities.
• The stakeholders and Role: Requirements Analyst use this to help identify features for the system.
• The Role: Information Architect uses this information when designing the information structure and user interactions.
• The Role: Creative Concept Director uses this to spark ideas for the creative concept.
