Purpose
Describing each role that interacts with the application being built forces the team to understand who the application will serve. Each actor's description includes demographic and psychographic information. To define the actors, the Role: Requirements Analyst works closely with the Role: User Researcher who has an extensive understanding of the users. The Requirements Analyst supplements the human actor descriptions with descriptions of external systems and devices that also interface with the website or application under development.
