Purpose
Prototypes may be created using tools such as paper, white boards, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, Flash, Java or other technologies, depending on the prototype's purpose. Regardless of form, the prototype is used to refine the user interface and user experience. Usability tests are often conducted using a User Interface Prototype. The Role: User Interface Prototyper works with the Role: Information Architect, Role: Graphic Designer, Role: Usability Evaluator, Role: Project Manager, and Role: Stakeholder to define how many prototypes are needed during the project as well as each one's purpose and scope.
