By completing the registration and purchase, you agree to provide written notice (via email or US Mail) to Icon at least two (2) weeks prior to the first day of your training class, regarding any cancellation or modification to your reservation.
You may substitute another student from your organization at any time to fill your spot by calling (636) 530-7776. If no one can substitute, we will do our best to schedule you in a future Icon class that costs the same amount. If you cannot attend a future class, we will refund one-third of the fee that was charged to your credit card per the cancellation policy.
Daryl Winters is a consultant, trainer and Agile transformation coach with over 20 years in software development, using advanced technologies, methods and tools. He has extensive experience employing Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and other Agile techniques in real-world application environments, ranging from 25 person to 100 person project teams. This experience includes 15 years' experience as an instructor and mentor in Agile, object technology, and incremental software development processes. Daryl has excellent people interaction skills developed through many years of training and guiding software development teams through their migration to Agile and other software engineering practices.
Daryl was responsible for scaling agile development across multiple divisions at Verisk Health. In that transformation role, he was responsible for defining and driving a Project and Portfolio Management approach to support multiple project across multiple locations, including internationally, using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Daryl received his SPC certification in 2013 and his SPCT crtification in 2014.

Duane and Dwayne
Duane Bushman is a consultant, trainer and agile transformation coach with a genuine passion for helping organizations to understand and realize the business value of lean and agile principles. His pragmatic approach to applying principles and proven practices to develop a culture of continuous improvement has been cultivated from 10+ years of practicing and coaching agile in IT and product development environments. Duane's personal journey in life-long learning includes being certified as a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) in 2014 and an SPC Trainer (SPCT) in 2016. Duane brings an engaging, energetic and highly collaborative presence to both the classroom and the most challenging real world scenarios. Guiding teams of several people, all the way up to organizations of several hundred, he has consistently helped leaders understand what it is they need to do to unlock the potential of their people and become truly agile.
Dwayne is recovering from 20+ years as a Software Engineer, Architect and Product Developer, and has spent the last 12+ years learning, implementing and coaching agile and lean principles and practices. He is ultra-passionate about helping large organizations learn how to build the right products and deliver optimal value through learning and customer validation. Dwayne is focused on utilizing his SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT) role to enable his clients to understand and utilize the complexity and simplicity of SAFe, while helping the framework adapt to changing business climates. Dwayne has helped several Fortune 100 companies as well as many growing companies in finance, retail, and logistics realize the benefits of a Lean-Agile Mindset. While not creating disruption in the business world, Dwayne can usually be found racing or instructing on his motorcycles or unwinding with his beautiful wife, Gina.

Kathy Marshak is an Agile Transformation Coach and instructor with Icon Technology Consulting. For more than 15 years she has guided teams and organizations as they become agile. Kathy improves clients’ software development practices by listening, observing, coaching, facilitating, and teaching. Kathy became a certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) in 2012 and became a certified SPC Trainer (SPCT) in 2014.
In the past few years her accomplishments include helping a global organization adopt a new methodology and establish an internal coaching program; coaching a globally distributed program with over 100 people during their transformation from waterfall to agile; transitioning a 200-person program to SAFe so that they are now running on their own; and working with Dean Leffingwell, the creator of SAFe, to help a 3000-person program envision their SAFe transformation.

The goal of this course is to prepare internal change agents and external consultants to:
Lead an enterprise agile transformation
Implement the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe)
Train managers and executives in Leading SAFe and act as a SAFe Agilist (SA) certifying agent
Train teams in SAFe for Teams and act as a SAFe Practioner (SP) certifying agent
The first two days of this class is an intensive version of Leading SAFe. The goal is to prepare certified SAFe Program Consultants (SPCs) to teach the course and act as a certifying agent for SAFe Agilists (SAs). You will also gain the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise agile transformation by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework and its underlying principles of lean thinking and product development flow. You will leave with an understanding of how the principles and practices of the framework support Agile Teams, Agile Programs, Agile Program Portfolio Management and Agile Architecture.
In the second two days, you will gain the knowledge needed to identify, plan, and implement SAFe programs with Agile Release Trains. Further, you’ll have the briefings, artifacts and templates you need to identify the value streams, prepare the organization, launch agile programs, plan and execute the major events, and implement effective processes and measures for continuous program improvement.
To obtain the SPC certification, students must:
Attend the 4-day SPC Certification Class
Pass the SPC exam (retakes are $250 and can be taken 90 days or more after the previous exam)
